Milan, Castello Sforzesco

Posted 1 year ago by skip in response to princess's question: I want to see Pieta Rondanini by Michelangelo. Where is it displayed in Milan? (give a different answer) .

The Sforzesco Castle takes pride in hosting it, along with a whole collection of furniture, artefacts and sculptures. You'll find it in Piazza Castello 3, with no visiting fee - that's a joy! The castle was rebuilt by Francesco Sforza in 1450, but it initially represented a Visconti fortress. Still hungry for art? Next door, on Via Brera, you'll come across Palazzo di Brera, home to Mantegna's masterpiece, the "Dead Christ". Beware of the 5 euro admission1 :)
