Historical centre of Palermo

Dive in Quattro Canti, the historical centre of Palermo, also known as il teatro. It's at the crossroad of Via Maqueda and Corso Vittorio Emanuele, with a nice 17th century baroque facade. Once you get there, have a look at the Fontana Pretoria in nearby Piazza Pretoria, widely known as the Foutain of Shame, because of the ribald nudes. There was a restoration initiative taken, but you can still catch a glimpse of the sick imagination of its Florentine sculptors.
