marise's question:
What's that Passeggiata in the town of Perugia?...I don't speak Italian and some recent foreign acquaintances didn't manage to explain...(give a different answer) .
As every American city has its main street, Italian ones have a "corso" to stroll along for the complicated ritual of see-and-let-yourself-seen. In the afternoons, the passeggiata gets filled with elegant people walking softly on the boulevard and glazing at the shop window displays, at recently appeared grandchildren, at each other. Once a friend is spotted, the trained gesticulation starts, the argues over the soccer score or the chit-chat about wages raises.
