around Piazza Colona there are some institutional palaces (don't know much about them)... and I was wondering if you are allowed to visit them.(give a different answer) .
Both Palazzo Montecitorio and Palazzo Madama can be visited, but only on the first Sunday of each month, between 10am and 6pm. I find the second palace more interesting because it was the house of Giovanni de' Medici, the one who would become later Pope Leo X. Here's the website: www.senat.it
