Ostia Antica ruins near Rome

Ostia Antica, a port city of Tiber river, built in the 4th century BC, was a strategically important centre of defence and trade. To get to Ostia from Rome take metro line B to Piramide or Magliana then take the Ostia Lido train. If you're with your car take the Via del Mare or Via Ostiense. Entry fee for the excavated city is 4.20 euro worth paying for a visiting the mosaics of the Terme di Nettuno, the Roman Theater built by Agrippa, the forum and the Capitolium, a temple dedicated to the roman gods: Jupiter, Juno and Minerva.
