Rome, Villa Borghese

Posted 1 year ago by vegok in response to avatar crush's question: Which art museum do you recommend seeing in Rome? there are so many...... (give a different answer) .

There is Villa Borghese, a park that was once the estate of cardinal Scipione Borghese. The 17th century villa houses the Museo e Galleria Borghese, and for an entry fee of 8.50 euro you can visit the impressive collection of art paintings and sculptures. The visiting hours are from 9 am to 7 pm from Tuesday to Saturday. The Villa has also a big lovely park with a zoo and a lake where you can hire boats.
