Unfortunately that's true... all the forums (except Foro din Traiano) require a booking for a guided tour at the Imperial Forums visitor centre. This one is open from 9.30am to 6.30pm but you can call 06 679 77 86. The price for the tour is 7euro. The forums are open between 9am and 6 or 7pm.
