There are many things to say about the history of this church. First it is one of the holy places built by the great Constantine, in the 4th century, on the place where St Lawrence had been buried. Then, in the WWI it was damaged by a bomb. Even though, many tourists like to come to Piazzale del Verano 3, between 3.30 and 7pm to see the remains of this glorious church.
