For somebody who wants to learn Italian at an advanced level there are those 6-month courses which cost about 1400euro... but if you're interesting only in the basics of this language you can attend a 40-hour course that isn't more than 350euro. Here's some schools: Centro Linguistico Italiano Dante Alighieri (Piazza Bologna 1, 06 442 31 400) or Torre di Babele Centro di Lingua e Cultura Italiana (www.torredibabele.com)
