I've heard Rome has some buses which offer tours around the city.... maybe that would be better than paying for a guide. where do I find them?(give a different answer) .
110open is one of the buses you are talking about. It departs from the bus terminus out-side Termini (platform C) and on his route it includes these sights: Quirintal, Colosseum, Bocca della Verita, Piazza Cavour, the Ara Pacis, Trevi Fountaind and Via Veneto. This way you don't have to worry about finding each place's location... just let the bus do the work.
