Former Festival of Two Worlds, now Spoleto festival, is an art celebration mixing music and drama. It was initiated in 1957, and managed to bring the city back to the stagelight. Resounding names such as Pavarotti and The Paul Taylor Dance Company set foot here, the finals making the graduated steps of Piazzo Duomo too small for the passionate audience. The festival lasts 3 weeks in June, Beethoven and Mozart works ever present.
