You're not the only one looking for a campsite. I myself tried to find something good and cheap when I visited Venice. Camping Della Serenissima seemed to be perfect because it was not far from the center of the city, about 20 minutes by bus (Via Padana 334/a, along the Riviera del Brenta) and the surrounding area was really gorgeous. There were rooms with private wc. Prices were reasonable.
