The best coffee in town is served at Torrefazione Costarica, a caffe situated on Strada Nuovo, Cannaregio 1337. It is also the cheapest, an espresso is only 0.65 euro and a cappuccino 1.05 euro. You should know that Italians have cappuccino at breakfast and stronger coffee like espresso is held for after dinner.
