Pasticceria Marchini of Venice

Posted 1 year ago by vegok in response to superstar's question: Hi, can you tell me where can I find a good pastry place in Venice? I simply must try the local sweets every new place I visit. (give a different answer) .

I have the same "problem" as you, and the first "meal" i take when arriving to Italy is a gelato, of course except winter...though... Anyway, you should try the chocolates shaped like Carnevale masks, called Le Baute Veneziane, served at Pasticceria Marchini on Calle Spadria, San Marco 2769, near the Campo Santo Stefano. It opens from 9 am to 10 pm. It's kind of pricey though, about 7 euro for a sweet speciality.
