alice's question: Every time I go to Italy I visit historic sites and ancient art and I feel for a change. I'm heading for Venice next year. Is there a modern art gallery which I can visit?(give a different answer) .
If you want a change of "decor" just pay a visit to the museum called Collezione Peggy Guggenheim displayed in Peggy Guggenheim's former home, Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, on Dorsoduro 701. Her collection contains the best of modern art, fine works by Bacon, Pollock, Picasso, Dali and Magritte. The palazzo lies in a sculpture garden where Peggy is buried. Entry fee for the museum is 8 euro for adult and 5 euro for student &child.
