Yep, the Arena is a well preserved amphtheatre, not as imposing as the one in Rome, but pretty big too. In fact, Verona was nicknamed "piccolo Roma", and this amphitheatre is third largest on the globe. The place functions at present as the local opera house and it has witnessed guests from Pink Floyd to Bjork. Be smart, take your camera, the amphitheatre dates back to the 1st century.
